Ready-Mades Project : The Lake District's Rubbish These Days
This is the current version of my cairn sculpture, which was photographed on the top of Hardknott Pass. I was fortunate to have a day with bright winter sunshine and excellent views, and the colours have not been enhanced in any way.
The text was added in Photoshop, and the finished product will be used as a poster at the Barn Door Shop (Wasdale Head) as well as other locations to raise public awareness of the problems of littering, and hopefully to encourage them to bring their rubbish back to their cars, or at least a bin.
Below are the four postcards I have printed from my photographs of the rubbish where it was found.
